The oppressive nature of the European Union and its future.

The European Union is well on its way to becoming a USSR 2.0. It boils down to placing more power in the hands of the politicians and taking away more decision-making rights from the citizens.
Many often forget that citizens are also entrepreneurs and consumers at the same time.
We are increasingly seeing the EU create laws and rules that require entrepreneurs to produce certain goods, regardless of whether there is a demand for them in the market and they do not question that demand. If there is no demand, they create it through subsidies.
The latest victim of this policy is the automobile industry.
The EU imposes rules that require the car industry to build electric cars that no one wants.
But to create a customer base anyway, they give subsidies to people who purchase an EV.
Companies receive tax discounts, etc...
But closer to home, there are also plans to ban the production of meat and milk.
They (EU) are already doing this by making it impossible for farmers to work.
They are imposing impossible nitrogen regulations on farmers, which leads to many farms having to close, resulting in less meat and milk being produced.

As a result, prices in the supermarket are rising and we are all eating less meat.
Who has already heard of the digital euro? The EU plans to launch the digital euro on the market starting next year, 2026. This aims to remove cash from the market, and you will have to pay for everything digitally, using your phone or bank card. This way, they intend to influence your purchasing behavior in the future. Eventually, all prices in supermarkets will disappear, and you will pay according to your personal situation. That sounds great for those who are poorer, except if you smoke or enjoy a pint. Those living on benefits will come to the checkout and simply won't be able to buy alcohol or cigarettes because your payment method will refuse to process those transactions.
A test project has already been successfully completed in Australia. There, welfare recipients receive a payment card that they can only use to pay for necessary bills, such as rent, electricity, gas, food, and soft drinks, etc... But no alcohol or tobacco. You also cannot withdraw cash from the ATM with it.
The system is such a success for many politicians that they now want to implement it in Europe, but for everyone. And that in the name of equality. Those with a higher income will have to pay more for their groceries, those who are healthy enough will still be allowed to eat some fatty foods like a steak or hamburger, if you are not obese. Smoking will eventually only be possible illegally if you can obtain illegal cash to pay in cash.
In Brussels, a project has been started since last year that will limit your freedom of movement. Within a radius of 25 km, you are now only allowed to drive 30 km/h, so it will take you an hour or more to drive from one side of Brussels to the other.
ANPR cameras monitor the license plates and check if there is a change in behavior.
