NATO IS LOOKING FOR A FIGHT.

Would NATO and the European Union aim for an escalation of war with Russia just to put Donald Trump on the spot?

I think that's it.

Donald Trump is about the only president who tries to do everything he can to avoid wars, yet some see that as a concession to Putin.

But let's look at the situation.

Ukraine is a small country with a much smaller population and therefore a much smaller army, an army that has so far been able to defend itself better than expected.

Putin also severely underestimated Ukraine's resistance and that gave him only limited territorial gains and many Russian soldiers died for that land.

That is why Putin does not want to surrender that conquered land.

Is the sun setting on the Kremlin?

For Putin, there are 2 main conditions.

A. To retain the conquered land and annex it into Russian territory.

B. Ukraine can become a member of NATO now and never will.

NATO is the main reason for the start of this conflict.

After the fall of the communist USSR, verbal promises were made that NATO would never expand to the east.

But everyone knows what a verbal agreement is worth, nothing.

As a result, in the mid-90s, it was Bill Clinton who was the first to ignore that verbal promise and began to insist that NATO would make more members in the East, in time countries such as Poland became important allies.

Meanwhile, in 2025, several former Warsaw Pact countries border the Russian border and those are neighbors that the Russians do not like.

So even before Ukraine could join NATO, Putin decided to invade the country, in this way tactical chess game to which NATO was helpless.

That invasion made it impossible for Ukraine to invoke Article 5, the article that says an attack on one is an attack on all.

If we can end the war.

Suppose we can end this conflict by agreeing with Putin, we give up the land that Putin has conquered and promise on our communion soul that Ukraine can never join NATO.

Would that be such a bad deal?

NATO and Europe are pushing the conflict to the limit.

Then the next question will be: how many deaths will there be to get back the conquered territories?

We already know that Putin is willing to bring the conflict even higher, even nucleair was an option.

Are we, Belgium, together with the other European countries, going to let our young soldiers die because of land in Ukraine?

What we are sure of is that it will not be the children and grandchildren of a Verhofstadt or another politician who will fight on the Eastern Front. 

They will be the children and grandchildren of everyday citizens.

Is Ukraine still a democratic country today?

There have been no elections in Ukraine since the outbreak of the war and it looks like Zelensky will not organize elections anytime soon either. Why would he do that? Thanks to the Americans in particular, billions are still coming in for the time being. A lot of money of which we do not know exactly where it will go.

In the meantime, the Germans gave them some helmets and knee pads, and the Dutch gave them some uniforms and some outdated military equipment.

I have the impression that Europe is cleaning out its old stock, all old pants and ponchos must go.

While the American taxpayer is getting the bill for a war that America has nothing to do with.

Why Donald Trump is ignoring NATO and Europe.

Simple, our journalists, the left-subsidized press together with about all politicians had nothing but insults ready for Trump, all perspective, neutrality let alone politeness, or respect had completely disappeared when Donald Trump was elected the first time.

One could almost think that he had defeated Hillary Clinton by hitting her over the head with a baseball bat.

Donald Trump was treated as if he had been convicted of beating Hillary Clinton in order to win the election.

And not only Donald Trump but also Melania Trump had a challenging time, where other first wives of presidents were invited on talk shows and or the cover pages in magazines were placed, Melania Trump was avoided on all sides as if she had plague.

The press even went so low that they tried to take down Baron Trump at an early age, if it weren't for Bill Clinton's daughter who stood up for him in the press and defended him in front of journalists.

So now Donald Trump has been elected for a 2nd term.

So what would you be like?

It makes sense that Europe and NATO mean nothing to Donald Trump.

Europe is yet another leech of the American economy and if it were not for the American financial contributions to NATO, NATO would not even exist anymore.

Would you involve a partner like NATO, for which you must pay yourself, in negotiations that would potentially cost you a lot of money?

Not to mention the human cost when a small confrontation grows into an international conflict.

In addition, Trump also has other cats to tame.

Many seem to forget that there is also a conflict brewing between China and Taiwan.

A conflict that has a serious potential to grow into a 3rd World War.

Our press also forgets who has allied with China, yes, Russia but also Iran, Yemen and even countries in Africa and South America.

It is as if the EU and NATO think that the world only revolves around themselves.

But the ultimate question is.

If no agreement is reached and the conflict escalates, will we see dead German, Belgian, Dutch, and other European soldiers on the Eastern Front?

Or is it like always young American men paying with their blood?

Or are we going to stand behind President Donald Trump and make Putin the petulant child that he is happy by giving him that piece of land the Russians won along with the agreement not to allow Ukraine to join NATO?
